are you getting the swine flu jab?

Just wondered what the thoughts on it were?

I have been offered it cos I work at the hospital. I probably won't get it though as i felt ill for a few days after the normal flu jab

I'm supposed to be on the list to get it being up the duff but nobody's offered it to me yet! I'm due at the doctors at the beginning of December but will more than likely turn it down if offered then. I'm just unsure about vaccinne's in general.

No. I don't trust it. I don't want my son to have it yet either. I did get the regular flu shot for my job though. That was a big production finding some place that offered it. Then we were told we didn't need to get it anymore since it was being fought in court that people were against this being mandated in NY state.

Okay, I'm yet to find somebody who went for it and got the shot! I want to know what the side effects were like before i put myself forward

I ended up getting mine after all. About 12 hours later i felt shivery then hot then shivery again etc. I think it all lasted for about 24 hours. I feel fine now though

It was in the paper this week though that somebody died from the vaccine

I dont believe that just the vaccination caused them to die.....they probably had something else wrong with them too. Still it is really sad though

But if they had something else wrong with them then maybe it isnt sensible to give the vaccine to the most vulnerable and poorly first
